Here is who I am picking for the UFC card this Saturday.
Randy Couture vs. Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira Here is to hoping! Keith Jardine vs. Thiago Silva Jardine is a douchebag and will get KO'd in R1
Chris Leben vs. Jake Rosholt Leben is the Chris Benoit of MMA, I am going with Leben TKO via Bowflex.
Nate Marquardt vs. Demian Maia All things equal besides thier records. If Maia gets him on the ground, look for a submission just like EVERY fight he has won. However if the fight goes the distance Marquardt may have a good shot. Brandon Vera vs. Krzysztof Soszynski This fight could go either way, so I am taking the more experienced of the two

If you'd like to mock me and my picks feel free to email me Rick@wrestlingontap.com
Randy Couture vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Everything points towards a Couture win. Couture should be able to use is wrestling to keep the fight standing and punish Nogueira with inside striking and clinching. That being said, Randy is 46 years old and a false sense of security could wash over him after seeing an ailing and poorly prepared Big Nog fall to Frank Mir. The wall is coming Randy. Nog has trained hard for this bout and can and will outlast Couture's onslaught to slap a fight saving submission late in the fight.
Thiago Silva vs. Keith Jardine
Silva will try to work hard to try to get the fight to the ground and while Jardine's standup style makes Chuck Liddell look like a textbook boxer, he does have solid takedown defense. The Dean of Mean will use this partially unknown aspect of his game to wear down Thiago and once Silva's gas gauge starts to flash Jardine will finish the fight.
Demian Maia vs. Nate Marquardt
I have no idea if Maia is a well conditioned fighter, I think his striking ability is limited. Which will make his submission of Marquardt all the more impressive. I like Nate as a fighter and he will push Maia, but Marquardt, whether out of frustration or over-confidence, will let his aggresive nature lead into a fight ending mistake.
Chris Leben vs. Jake Rosholt
For the record I don't know if I just associate the name "crippler" to a roided out murdering pussy or just hate his previous antics, but I'm not a Leben fan. Which makes taking him in this fight a bitch. But Rosholt is inexperienced and overmatched in the UFC. Leben will control most of this fight and then knockout Rosholt.
Brandon Vera vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
Both of these fighters have hype behind them and both come up lame in big spots. Kickboxing vs. ground and pound is what this boils down to. Shit might as well be Vera's hot wife vs my Polish pride cause this fucker is a toss up. Which ever guys decides to come out, take the bull by the horns and become the fighter that they can be wins. As mush as I hope its Vera, much like TNA my money is on the Pol.
