wow, it has been a while since i last posted, being a avid lover of political debate i had to give my 2 cents.
Most of what has been posted i agree with. (its nice to see a few of you are at least semi-smart.)
On the issue of chuck balwin, he is a fine choice, if he became president i would not be to upset. he has a few issues i strongly disagree with. 1. roe vs. wade. weather you want to admit it or not abortion is a medical procedure. The u.s. federal government should NOT be involved in the medical world at all. 2. He strictly opposes gay marriage. Who the fuck is he to tell people how to live there lives. Also federal government should NOT be involved in this issue.
I am voting for Bob Barr. he has many of the same views as Baldwin with only a few differences.
on the issue of a "wasted vote" a vote for one of the horrific monsters that the two major parties support would be a "wasted vote." either way, if you vote for them, in essence you fully support the destruction of out constitution.

"you cant waste your vote unless you go and vote"

oh yea matt i told you she was crazy. read this.

Well just wanted to give my two cents on the conversation.

If ever you ever agree completely with a candidate, I believe that you are the victim of brainwashing. It kind of like how you people can stay Lions fans.

There isn't a wasted vote in theory, but there is one in practice. If a person only votes in presidential elections and votes third party. Then that is a waste. If that same person also votes third party in general elections then the vote is not wasted. A strong foundation needs to be layed for these candidates to have a shot at the Presidency.

The practice of economic isolationism? Fuck yeah. I don t want to be tied to other nations. The foreign investors in U.S. market are great short term. However there is no true investment in the American life. So in the long term it is not advisable. Plus I don't want foreign interests controlling anything in this country. Amd that isn't an American thought process. I'm sure everyone will agree that their home is theirs and should not be influenced by outsiders.

Oh and of course she is crazy, nobody sane lives in Alaska. The sane visit and then leave.

Well there isn't much difference between the two lead parties in the U.S.

To be truthful I still don't hate Bush. I don't agree with him, but I don't hate him. I still think the country has a better outlook than if Al Gore or John Kerry were in office.

People say Bush and his presidency is about oil and big business, because its cliche and easy. Truth is Bush has strongly believed in everything that he has done... right or wrong.

Political policies and outcomes lag. Anywhere from 4-9 years is what it takes to see the outcome of presidency. Part Clinton and part Bush is how we got here.
Plus you get a little pass in my book when 2 weeks into office an attack that changes the face of the country occurs. That tends to change the tone of a cabinet.

Plus a lot of what Bush has done has been very bi partison. Many of the policies and plans he has imployed have been authored by Democrats.

Bush is an easy target because of his cadience and way of speaking.

He's not always right, I mean really not always right. But he does do what he thinks is the best for the country. That's really all that a citizen can ask for considering all politicians are complete tools.

Don't take this as defending the W, as he has overstayed his welcome. He is just not as responsible for all this garbage as most believe him to be.
