Not really, but I do get that he may have been a little bit "emotional" after the fight. Considering he is a major D-Bag, did you expect anything else? I'm sure when he beats Fedor we'll get an even more over the top post fight interview*.
*When I say "beats Fedor" I mean "gets murdered by Fedor". |

Just thought I'd lighten the mood with this pic.

I do enjoy that picture.
Here's the thing, people in the MMA world are making excuses for Brock due to his pro wrestling days, people in the wrestling world are making excuses because they don't understand the plight of MMA.
Brock Lesnar is an outstanding athlete, but he is also a tool. 1st of all Lesnar was in the WWE for 4 years, in that time he had a mouthpiece and very rarely cut a promo. Now take into account he has been out of that world for 5 years and that he didn't pull the same act after his first 4 fights. With exception of the "We will see who offers me the most money" bit after his debut.
2nd... Brock doesn't care about developing as a mixed martial artist or even respect the sport. He has stated as much in the build up to the Mir rematch. "I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't get paid well for it." And while not in fight mode he might play the PR game, make no mistake the guy is a confident and arrogant tool.
c... When MMA is trying to go mainstream and earn their way into American households on a regular basis, there is such a thing as bad press. Your Heavyweight Champion flipping off fans and pissing off your sponsors is not the way to endear yourself in the hearts of the ESPN's of the world.
Finally, Lesnar's appeal will be short lived if he doesn't evolve his game. While in the short term people are amazed by his size and power, he fights are less entertaining than a decent episode of RAW. Without a major contender in the heavyweight division there is very little interest or PPV revenue in seeing Lesnar lay on top of the rest of the heavy's in the UFC. I think that's what irritates me most about Brock he has the power to put himself in advantageous positions and if he even tried to progress his game a little he could have ended the Mir fight about 20 seconds after he took Frank down in the 1st round.
That there my friends is what keeps Fedor so entertaining. Will he submit you with a choke, and armbar or just knock you out. He just takes whatever he is given and has the skills to do so. Lesnar, well, he'll just lay on his opponent until the ref or the clock stops the fight.
I don't begrudge Brock his victories, he earned each and every 4 of them. But seriously how entertaining and dangerous could he be if he had the ability to slap a submission on a guy when his arms are flailing to protect himself. Lesnar has the strength to put his opponent in whatever position he desires and the most disappointing thing is that he doesn't want to take advantage of it.

| Well, that pretty much covers it. Now tell us how you feel about Shane Carwin already looking past "MR. BROWN PRIDE" and talking about Lesnar. |

| After a talking to by White I buy the apology in terms of the sponsor thing. Other than that the guy just seems like a tool, but what do you expect from a dude that tattoos a penis on his chest |
